Goals of the Program:
The goal of the golf program is to foster personal growth in CK students through athletic activity. CK Golf presents a unique opportunity for students to learn the rules and etiquette of the game, acquire new skills, make new friends with students from other schools, and enjoy a lifelong sport.
Eligibility varies from year to year as per the decisions of the Southwest Catholic Conference. Currently, current eighth grade boys and girls attending CK are eligible to represent CK in the league after completing the required sign up on time.
Students must provide their own equipment for golf: greens fees, clubs, tees, balls and a golf bag.
Levels of Play/Team Selection:
Boys and girls play in groups on four Sundays in the spring. The top teams in the league qualify for a fifth championship round at the end of the season. The golfers with the lowest cumulative score from the qualifying teams and the low individual scorers not on a team qualifying for team play will then participate in the championship round on the fifth Sunday
The Southwest Catholic Conference secures sites and issues rules of play.
The coordinator is responsible for attending planning meetings for the league, notifying the league of our roster, notifying players of their tee times, and supervising on-site as per the league guidelines.
The coach is responsible for supervising on-site as per the league guidelines.
