Gretchen Maty – Christ the King Class of 2007
Gretchen graduated CK in 2007 and Mother McAuley High School in 2011. She currently attends Marquette University and is a member of the US Army Cadet Command of Marquette University, ranked one of the best ROTC programs in the country. Gretchen recently participated in the prestigious Army ROTC Ranger challenge at Ft. McCoy in Tomah, WI. This past summer, she attended Officers Training School in Ft. Knox, KY, earning the honor of First Lieutenant, followed by an Army Engineering Core Internship in Ft. Hood, TX. This is all second to pursuing a Math degree from Marquette U. She is extremely dedicated to her studies and ROTC program, as school does not come easy to her. She thrives on the extreme discipline and physical challenges for her brain to concentrate. Gretchen is hoping to spend the next 8 years with the Army Engineering Core or Logistics and to be stationed in either Alaska or Ft. Hood, TX. She enjoys running, fishing, kayaking, playing any sport for fun, throwing great parties, and keeping in touch with her friends from CK and McAuley, as they all have done well and are on their way to running the world.
