Hallie Boyer – Christ the King Class of 2000
Hallie graduated from CK in 2000, St. Ignatius College Prep in 2004 and Macalester College in 2008 with an honors diploma in Physics. After college, Hallie worked for Moe Options, Inc. at the Board of Trade and then served in the Peace Corps in Ghana from 2010-2012. She is now in her third year of the University of Minnesota Ph.D. program in Mechanical Engineering. Hallie was awarded the National Science Foundation GRFP Fellowship, covering all living and research expenses for 3 years. This will open the door to international scientific collaboration as well as providing XSEDE supercomputer access. Her research is centered on the study of the fundamental processes by which atmospheric droplets form and their thermodynamic properties. Hallie’s main project is conducting numerical modeling of molecular interactions at the surface of multi-component droplets. In her free time, Hallie enjoys cooking, yoga, going to concerts and keeping in touch with her students from Ghana.
