Tom Nye – Christ the King Class of 2008I started kindergarten at Christ the King in 1999. The gym had just opened and over the next 9 years many of my best CK memories would be made there. In 2008, I went on to Brother Rice High School where I was on the executive boards of student council and NHS, started a student-run recycling program, and played football and water polo. In my senior year, I was named a National Merit Scholar, a Coca-Cola Scholar, and voted to the IHSA All-State Academic Team. After high school, I chose to study architecture at Notre Dame. At ND, I've been involved in intramural and inter-hall sports, College Democrats, and tutoring grade-schoolers in South Bend. I am currently spending the entire academic year abroad in Rome learning from the ancient and Renaissance monuments while taking in all that the Eternal City has to offer. After graduation, I plan to pursue a career in architecture and further explore interests such as sustainability and historic preservation.
