• The Mock Trial Program is designed to introduce students to our system of justice.  Students study the interplay between the Constitution and legal proceedings, and explore how a case proceeds through the legal system from the investigation phase through trial.  Students engage in several mock trials, performing as lawyers and witnesses, preparing direct and cross-examination questions and testimony, opening statements and closing arguments.  The program also includes a field trip to one of the courthouses in the Chicago area and culminates with a more complex trial before an actual sitting judge.
